00VI smog legal?

I just got my complete 00VI (upper, lower, rails, injecotors, and tb) in the mail today. I want to install this and still keep it smog legal and I mean by keeping the EGR. Will it be smog legal once I have the EGR funtiional on the 00VI? Does the swirl valve have anything to do with emissions?

I would assume that with the EGR hooked up and running properly, and not throwing any engine codes, that you should be fine. Could be wrong, but that's what my intuition is telling me right now.

IMHO as long as the EGR system is hooked up and functioning properly I see no reason for any problems w/ emissions.
On a side note, where'd you get your parts?

I will tell you right now that Technically it will not be CA leagle, since its not CARB approved for use on the street in that car...however since most smog tech wont be able to tell that it wasnt an OEM Manifold so you should pass visual fine.

If you're worried about it, don't allow the valve to open during the test. It will flow just like a regular IM then.

i just found out it will pass smog if the EGR is hooked up properly. Vasiliy's (vsamoylov) bro (maxS) passes smog and hes a 4th gen with a 00VI with a funtioning EGR..good thing i found out because i just ordered the EGR guide tube for 15 bux.

Did you order it from some place that has it in stock? If not, call them to get an ETA. I had to wait a month for mine.
