IACV and EGR
IACV and EGR
Im working on a swap so I had a few questions that some of you guys might know. After doing some searching...
1. the EGR from a 5th gen VQ30DE-K is electronically controlled and a 4th gen is vacuum controlled so the 5th gen egr will not work with a 4th gen. For the IACV
2. the IACV on a 4th and 5th gen is different but the harnesses can be spliced to make a 5th gen IACV work with 4th gen.
3. Reason most people use the 4th gen IACV is because the 5th gen IACV gets in the way of the 4th gen egr.
Is this all correct? Also, I might end up removing, or blocking the egr all together but is it difficult to remount the 4th gen EGR to keep the 5th gen IACV and have both working? Any help would be great, Thanks.

I did some more searching and came across some posts that cleared most of this up for me. The 5th gen IACV works but not perfectly and it also has no adjustment for idle. If I decide not to use the IACV until I get adapters or make my own, do I just plug its vacumm source and leave it plugged in?
