Two options:

1) Donate $20 and search
2) Start reading/looking manually

The threads are all over the place.

Funny thing is you don't even need the search for 00VI. The first 2 pages of this forum have tons of threads on it.

Not to mention threads referenced in the stickies.

But eventually, since there is no one standard way to do it, you just have to get started and handle the problems as they come.

Probably the way that involves the least amount of parts modification is to install the 5th gen upper and lower manifolds along with the 5th gen fuel rail, injectors, rear valve cover and rear ignition coils.

Exclamation 00vi

"Completing" Stephen Max's post: Keep your 4th gen TB, EGR and IACV, get a 5th gen EGR tube (EGR-to-manifold) and buy his adapter plates for the TB and IACV.
Piece of cake.

Thanks for the info all.

To the first couple of guys that replied, I realize the stickies and search would have information on the 00vi but I'm looking for a true "write up"/how to/instructions. I'm not personally all that mechanically inclined so I was hoping someone made a "for dummies" write up with pics lol.

Thanks all the same though, I'm gonna ask in the Canada forum if anyone has it done and what it would cost to help me out.

Can anyone give me a rough estimate of the cost including all the parts and labour for the 00vi?

There isn't a true write up like most other mods because there are many different routes to take. I don't get the feeling that the swap is that easy, especially if you aren't mechanically inclined. It's not something I would want to tackle without help at this point.

But you can always learn, and going back and reading every thread about is the best way.

... I'm an hour up the highway from you in KW, and as far as I know, the only one in Canada to have done this swap.

Dandy, thankx for the reply. I'm looking around scrap yards for the parts needed right now. How long did this job take you? Would just about any technician (I have friends with a custom shop) be able to figure this out with whatevere info I can get off the stickies?

Last thing, if down the road I'm feeling more comfortable having someone with experience do this up for me, would you be willing to sell me some of your time? (depending on your availability of course, and I'd come to you naturally)

I'd be needing the help early next next, I'm moving to Michigan for a year to take Automotive marketing, then going to seriously try to get an 00VI, ECU, Y Pipe combo going.

Anyway thanks, I'll be in touch in a little while
