question, to be clear about this, with the prepped ready to drop in motor, does it really drop right in, does he the take care of the timing thing i keep seeing people talk about, and all i have to do is new clutch, minor re-wiring to make injector wires fit the 3.5 injectors?. ALso how long does it take to get this drop in motor built if i have the money now?, i dont think my motor gonna last too much longer, its really knocking. i have a 98 maxima with a almost blown motor, connecting rob bearings took a dump after maintaining 140MPH on a 200K mile motor for like 20 seconds, cant be too good for the crankshaft. and where can i get just headers from?, everywhere i look, companies selling hearders and y-pipe combo, i already have a y-pipe.

once the motor is fully assembled it drops in perfectly just like a stock 3.0 would. The extra thing you would need to do will depend on what else needs to be done. clutch upgrade is recommended. Throttle body issue will need to be address. for injectors you just solder the pig tails to the car's harness and thats done. Hopefully the rear bank already has the clips there and you'll solder those also. now would be a great time for headers. IACV you'll need to take care of, bracket for throttle cables, make sure your vacuum lines are good. put on new intake or fit your old stock one (dont know if anyone has done this). If you have something to control VIAS activation wire that in.

If you know what your doing it can be done in about a full day or 2 days with good sleep and food inbetween.
took me 3 days the first time I did it, and I was re-doing a lot of work.

hey thanks alot MDeezy, i appreciate the time and patience, unlike that dave guy, this man seems like he just goes around to look at all the questions i ask and responds in a negative way. i'm asking the public, not just him. One more thing, if i dont get the IACV to work, will that affect the performance in a big way?.

no prob. we'll the iACV will need to work so that car doesnt stall. If you modify the stock throttle body and use that you wont need the iacv like the 4th gen has. the 3.5 thorttle body has the iacv built it (in so little words). If you get a pathfinder throttle body you will need the iacv or the call will stall out, and will not idle (that was a fun 40 mile drive... )

A quick search would show you that he is probably the hardest person to get them from, but I can already tell your not into the whole 'search' thing

No. You can source a shop out and try to have them made but he's your best bet. Or you could drill your cams. I'm sure you read this before but here http://forums.nycmaximas.org/showthread.php?t=19270.
