you would only buy one SAFC-II between two cars? Thatd be annoying, having to re-install it everytime. It doesnt log the data into your ecu, you need it to be hooked up to your ECU at all times for it to be effective

I could care less about their cams though.
If they cracked the ECU code earlier, I would've gone with them for my ECU.
They were pretty shady with the TS for 5.5g autos, as tehy showed no gains what-so-ever, and finally fessed up to the conclusion with the auto they could never get consistent results, but it took a few members to complain to them for a while about their products before they offered a the L-spec.

Your statements are bluring the lines between Technosquare and JWT, please be careful of that because not everyone knows who TS is.
I have specified several times in the past why I dislike JWT, even before the Turbo Max fiasco. My bad experiences from them are from over ten years ago when I had my B13 SE-R. And in that ten years it appears that their customer service has gotten only worse. Their arrogance is just plain disgusting and it greatly upsets them to think that a customer on the other end of the phone might perhaps know something that they don't know. Go read the latest news on Blubyu2k2s adventures with them. He was another person I gave a stern warning to when dealing with these dirtbags and now he's paying a big price for doing so.
Having said that, I don't expect any company to be perfect and I know TS has made their share of mistakes. But the one thing they do which is a MUST for customer satisfaction is admit where they were wrong and work with customers to correct such mistakes.
The personal experiences I have had in dealing with both of these companies is incomparable. Whereas the people at JWT only wanted to argue with me, tell me I was wrong and make feeble attempts to talk to me as if I were stupid vs. the people at TS, mainly Tadashi, spoke to me with mutual respect , graciously answered every question I had, delivered the product that was exactly what I asked for AND did so within a very short 2 day time frame (JWT takes months). To me that is a no brainer.

So the Lspec TS ecu you have is a piggyback? Why doesn't that make sense? I was jus goin by ur comment bout u havin the TS ecu and the fact that I didn't see any mention of whether or not u have a piggyback tuner (at least in any language I could understand). Sorry if I missed it.
Oh and in reference to the part about the Lspec w/ no new hardware n such, I'm assuming that was intended for someone else since I don't remember asking anything requiring mention of any new hardware for an ecu. Jus whether or not u use the SAFCII. I apologize if I wasnt clear about that.
Please don't think I'm bein rude, jus tryina sort out what info was meant for me and what wasn't. Thanx for your understanding.

309chp on my automatic....but that is a STD dyno, SAE its only 302. (233whp/transmission power transfer % = .77, Nissan 4ATs lose 23%, 6MTs lose 18). Now its up to 235 after some more dyno tuning and should go even higher in the months to come.

This was my dilemna a little while back when trying to decide what ECU to go with. For a later 4th gen such as mine (98) I became frustrated with the lack of good tuning solutions. No matter which I picked, there seemed to be a downside. I needed the extended rev limit for my VI and TS told me they couldn't guarantee that it would work. They said it wasn't even an auto vs manual problem, but an ECU version problem. Since they couldn't guarantee me the rev limit I reluctantly went with JWT. In a year or so when I do the 3.5 swap I won't need it anymore.
But I'm having headaches with it right now: eg-codes for an auto tranny on a 5-spd ECU?! Plus it's not mapped right for my liking... above 7000 rpm and my A/F is 14.3?! Yikes. Now I'm about to send it back for reprogramming.. hoping I won't be given a hard time about it but prepared to insist on what I want.

Interestingly enough, I was expecting to be rich with the JWT due to DEK injectors but the WOT table is corrected for fuel trims it seems. Which means the JWT tune is lean. On my stock ECU, I'm seeing 11.8 to 12.2 A/F as expected (stock tune?).
I'm also following the eManage Ultimate developments with interest but probably won't jump on that just yet until I have all the info I need (also thinking about future swap and/or boost plans, not just my current VQ30)
Even if you have to use JWT you DON'T have to have them screw around with the fuel MAPs and the open/closed loop settings. Just freakin tell those morons to leave the fuel map alone and ONLY extend the existing OE map to the desired RPM. If they don't touch the loop points then there will be no issue with using a piggyback. If they don't want to listen then have them call me, I'll be happy to go a few rounds with them on the phone and hopefully on one of my very rare bad days.
haha, i want to make a three way call and just hear SR go off.
if TS could get the issues solved with raising the rev limiter, it wouldnt be a doubt in my mind to go with them. Id just hate to get it and still have the stock limiter.

Makes me wonder though, if I were to get them to leave the fuel alone, and subsequently add a piggyback, then even for the VQ30 there's no real point in having the JWT anymore IF the eManage Ultimate can indeed reliably increase rev limit and timing. But it's so new... it would be nice to have good confirmation that it can do those things before spending the cash on it. If indeed the EU can do all that then I sure wish it would have come out a while ago when (before) I first bought the JWT.

Maybe there's a reason for optimism with the new EU but still it'd be nice to have something like Zemulator, Hondata, LT1Edit, TunerCat etc available for our cars.
