Removing pcv system

I thought i remember reading that there was someone that removed the pcv system. Who was this and what did they exactly do? The only thing i can think of is not having it go to the intake manifold.

I removed mine along with the EGR system. Haven't noticed any difference other than that nice smell of burnt oil when I run the vents on fresh air.
Just haven't gotten around to rigging something up since I did the VI swap.

So what did you exactly do?

Ran a long piece of vaccum line from the PCV opening(fit snug) in the cover across the engine bay & routed it pointing down. Figure it's long enough to not spray any oil residual(haven't noticed any yet) and still pull fresh air if needed.

Most people just put a catch can as a more realistic approach instead of completely removing it since it does serve a purpose, but oil coating the intake manifold and mixing with EGR sucks.

Sure does that's why I removed the EGR also.

What parts of the EGR did you exactly remove? Can you take some pics please?

Thanks Eric

Can't get pics, sorry.
Just remove everything related to the EGR system... selenoid, guide tube & plumbing, plug vaccuum lines, exhaust feed tube & manifold opening.
