Rear LH valve cover vent, needed?

I noticed that the rear LH valve cover vent tube goes straight to the IM (after the MAF of course). It looks to me like the engine would suck air from the FRONT LH valve cover vent (before the MAF) across the tube that links the RH valve cover vents together, through this rear LH tube, into the IM and create a vacuum leak. Anyone know how these tubes work?

What I'm getting at is, I'd like to plug the two RH vents and run a small filter off each of the two LH vents. Will this cause issues?

not sure which is which in your post, but the passenger side vents connect to each other. The drivers side rear is for the PCV valve. The front drivers side is a vent that connects to the air intake system pre MAF

Ok, I understand. I'll just leave it all alone.

Well you can disconnect the one that connects to your intake. That won't harm anything. Many people do this, especially with certain aftermarket intakes. Just slap a little filter on it.
