Exclamation Why no 00VI writeup?

I am looking at doing the 00vi mod and I am wondering everytime I need info why I have to look through dozens of threads that basically say "There are lots of ways to do it." or "You do/don't need that part." Has anyone decided what is the "best" was to do the swap and what parts are needed? I'd think that someone in this forum has enough experience with this mod to do a proper write up on it. I have most of the parts, I have some idea of what I need to do but no write up to guide me as I go. Won't someone PLEASE do a write up and part list?

well, as someone said before, it's mostly common sense. I think the easiest way would be the 00 upper and lower, fuel rail, and rear valve cover and coil packs. You'd have to buy an adapter plate for the 4th gen IACV, but that's all you'd have to buy extra. Also, you'd probably have to buy the EGR guide tube for the 5th gen, but you could just close it off. That's as close to bolt on as you can get. I haven't done this, but I'm planning on buying a DE-K and doing the swap.

I hope it helps.

you can buy an rpm switch from summit racing...you would wire that up to the VIAS assembly.

In reading that write-up, it seems to only get half-way thru the installation and I don't see any link to a "next page."

The writer is a local friend of mine, I don't believe he finished it but he covered the modifications.

well if he was to ever finish it he would get many props for it... There is a good amount of ppl on here that would probably pay 20 bucks for a finished copy of it
