computer upgrades for 00 vq30
computer upgrades for 00 vq30
i was wondering what was out there for the 00ecus, i read that the 00 had a funky computer compared to the 4th gens-99 and the 01s were totally different, what yields the best bang for the buck, i need to would swapping the ecu be worth it to have more options, i might get flamed for not knowing this, but worth a shot at asking.
friend of mine will sell me his slightly used vafc2 for 150, i suppose i could alwasy do that, seems a good deal to me.

there are no ecus worth spending any money on. if there was an L spec from technosquare then it might be handy but that project was never produced besides a few testers. i would have a few dyno runs before i bought a vafc2. i picked one up because my a/f was running 11-12:1 after 4k rpms all motor. get 3 pulls with a/f and see if the purchase is justified.
seems the ultimate allows one to adjust the rev limiter, all i would need is the unit and a laptop right, there seems theres lots of other attachments i need, but im not sure, im new to cumputer upgrades, my other car just had a chip to install.
i'd start first with a wideband o2 and a simple s-afc or v-afc. You'd save some money by tuning yourself when you datalog the A/F ratio and then tune it yourself instead of paying for dyno time
i plan on going all out , in time, id rather just do it right the first time. i plan on building a new motor 3.5bottom 3.0 top and then doing all bolt ons, i know im pretty much stock now. alot of what makes me want it is the rev limiter, is there an easier way to raise mine with out an emanage ultimate?

i mean ill be building a motor using both3.0 and 3.5 part,s not jsut slapping things together. i was plannign on useing an 00/01 im , but i havent decided yet.i just finished my suspension, brakes, and basic mods, now its time to tackle the motor
what would be the best bang for the buck all motor combo, i know thats an involved question.
