anyone take out tb/manifrold spacer in 5th gen?

woundering if anyone has take out that metal spacer that goes between tb and intake manifold, it seems useless and restrictive. if so any problems?

thanks for the info, I jsut removed it, and let me tell you, i should of done this 1293129 years ago... IT got rid of that DAMNED intake whistle I used to have!!!!

i thought it made my intake whistle more. basic ebay cai with hks filter. i sound almost turbo.

with the 00VI swap I got a terrible whistling that was at part throttle, it sounded like a BOV that didnt stop... It sounded cool, for the first week, then it was annoying....

When I removed this plate it went away 95% of it

Maybe for you 5th gens that already have the 00vI and all stock it will make it whistle more than my ghetto rigged VQ30DE with 00VI

it did increase the pitch of the whistle from the intake on my 01 but nothing loud enough to bother me.

Didnt feel anything, if anything topend is better I guess since its not restrictive anymore....

Best part was the damn noise it used to make is gone.

i dont think i noticed any diff really, maybe a bit smoother in the mid range, maybe lost a bit of low end torque not enough to tell, bu the sound got much louder, lost of whistle on mine.
