also is there a write up on here of someone doing a 3.5 swap in a 4th gen?
also i was wondering why nismo3112 is swapping around all these parts:
My setup:
3.5 Tilley cams, JWT spacers, 3.5 heads, 3.5 block (duh)
3.0 timing gears, chains, covers
3.0 Oil pan
?

I think your auto would be fine w/ the 3.5 if you do a vb mod a tranny cooler . I have been boosted for a year and a half now w/ no transmission problems and i am putting down alot more power than a 3.5L. How long the transmission last is dependent on how much you drive like a idiot. Heat is a auto's biggest enemy so if you only get on it once in awhile then your tranny will be fine.

It's the 3.5L's initial torque moving the entire vehicle initially off the line that kills its trannys, and I don't think off idle-2500 RPM you're making more torque, it be close. Unless you're spraying N2O off idle.
