BEFORE YOU START.......as you disconnect each and every electrical, vacuum, coolant and fuel hose, sequentially number and tag/label it as to where it went and what it was connected to. It's a generally idiot-proof way of making sure you get everything properly hooked back up, with the emphasis on "everything" and on "properly."
Then again, there are those guys who can do this kind of stuff with their eyes closed in a dark place after a six-pack! They can (and I'm sure will) ignore this suggestion.

Its really not that hard to comprehend when installing, just need to check and double check EVERYTHING, sometimes even triple check. Good luck

If you don't mind me asking but what parts did you use and which portion of the install you found the most difficult. I'm gathering all the parts now and will do this in the spring.

00 Fuel rail, 00 injectors, 00 valve cover, 00 EGR guide tube, 00 manifold, 00 coil packs. The most difficult part of the install would have to be removing the old EGR guide tube because of where it sits.. After that its cake, also make note of EVERY hose you will be removing, as you will be completely confused afterward.

Refresh my memory...the rear valve cover has to be a DE-K valve cover or can it work with the DE rear VC? And if you decide to use DE-K injectors are DE-K coil packs required? Thanks.

Not necessarily, you can use the stock DE rear VC but you will need to shave down the two front ignition coil posts(closest to Throttle body) so that the manifold can sit properly. As for the DE-K injectors and coil packs, you can interchange the DE and DE-K coil packs because they are pretty much the same thing. As someone said in another thread, a coil is a coil is a coil. (Ie. I am using two DE-K coils, with a DE coil)

did you make the plate for the IACV, and also did you get the relocation kit or adjust the idle speed to compensate for no IACV?

Cool. I remember when I was cleaning my egr guide pipe of how dificult it would be to remove the large egr pipe. I think I recall in the past of people using a crowfoot to unloosen it. I'm thinking of fabricating the plates but that depends on money and time. I think Stephen max makes it so that the plate goes behind the TB and connects to the existing 4th Gen IACV. If not its goning to be a remote location.

what happens when you hook up a 3.5 coil on a vq30? missfire. so the statement of a coil is a coil is a coil needs to be revised.

Who said we were talking about 35 coils?

Plus the 35 coil are ALOT shorter than the 30 coils IIRC.
