4.3 Stroker in 4th Gen

I see that more people are doing the 3.5 swap in a 4th gen and I was thinking. Did anyone ever think about putting the AEBS 4.3 stroker kit into the 3.5 and dropping it in a 4th gen? I just thought that would make a very serious 4th gen. Especially if it was boosted. Anyone know if this has been done yet?

i talked to the guys at AEBS a long time ago, they said that the $7800 kit could put almost 1200hp, they said they had a Z33 boosted with over 2000.

i have no idea how u can get 1200hp na, but they said it not me.

Never been done, never will. As far as I know, AEBS was called out on fraud of the kits never actually being made. I think there were 350Z guys trying to buy them and they had all sorts of issues and never got their kits. I heard this on the .org awhile back, so take it with a grain of salt.

holy crap it was 7800? if i won the lottery, and AEBS was still selling them i'd be all over that. but i doubt it'd still be a street car and i'd have to spend another couple grand to get another car hahah.

VQ40 crank + custom rods + 100mm Darton sleaves + 100mm VQ35 pistons = 4.3L stroker.

It would be fast, expensive, and too much of both if boosted for it to work in a Maxima.

Still no one has proven that the VQ40 crank could even fit. And without an excessive amount of machine work it certainly won't.

A less expensive way would be to use the new crank from the VQ37DE, with I suspect is 86mm. Use that in conjuction with some overbore Darton Sleeves to get the following;

101mm x 86mm = 4134cc

My VQ37DE estimate is

95.5mm x 86mm = 3696cc

hmmm with that setup (provided it exitsts) i guess 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear would be useless, just drive in 5th or 6th..

crazy idea though.. if max would be RWD......

I have a friend in Florida that is working on his 350z with the AEBS stroker kit.. the car still in the process being built up..well acutally the motor because the car was wreck.. so the motor was pulled out and being built as we speak.

this project start in June of last year and still going day by day .part by part.

Altho Im not sure if hes going to drop the motor back into the Z cause he took the insurence money to do this motor project.. It will be twin turbo when its all said and done.. I think he's looking into a 240sx or a 300zx

if I find some more info . I letcha know.

95.5mm x 81.4mm does equal 3498cc, which is the VQ35DE. But that does not equal 3700cc for a VQ37DE which they labeled it as.
