Yes you do, unless you get Tilley's new spacer... Which doesn't require drilling.

2 options here

Easiest option
1) you can use your 3.0 cams(they are a direct drop in) and that would save you from getting the 3.5 cams modified.

2)More complicated but better option for power
tilley now makes adapter for the 3.5 cams so you don't have to have them sent out to be drilled anymore.

If you decide to use 3.0 cams, I would suggest JWT cams at the least.

get the adapter that tilley made, it'll work. Also you don't wnat to use the 3.5's headers, very restrictive. Better off using the 3.0 headers.

They work for 3.5 swap. I ordered mine about two weeks ago. Hopefully Tilley sent them out. Call Tilley, if you can reach him, and get the adapters/spacers. $100 shipped.

i'm pretty sure it just goes into your current dolly hole then on the adapter it's a spacer with a dolly hole on the right side.

I would like to post a picture of this new adapter but I don't have it yet. The way Rob (Tilley) says this is made is by taking the JWT spacers and doing a little modification to them to make it an adapter. I ordered the JWT spacers a month ago so I know Rob had them for about 2 weeks so I hope I can get them by next week. This is the only thing holding up my swap. Its a little frustrating but I am trying to be patient.

Put it like this...order your spacers ASAP. He has to order the JWT spacers from JWT which take about a week and a half to two weeks. Then he has to modify them for the adpater part. As I said, this is the beginning of the 4th week for me.

Exactly..... Its not that he is ignoring people but he is just very busy and I believe he is on the shop by himself most of the time. If he stops to pick up every call probably wouldn't get much done. But he will eventually call you back. Just call everyday. As you can tell, he has an answering message that is two weeks old.

Eventually he will call.....LOL

In addition, you don't have to wait for the adapters. You can order the JWT spacers from Cattman and get the cams drilled by Stephen Max. That is another alternative that may be quicker if you are in a real rush.

Has anyone heard from this guy Tilley? I've been calling him for about two weeks now and haven't heard from him.
