5.5 6 speed swap... parts list needed

Can someone start a sticky with a list of parts that are needed to do a full 6 speed swap on a 5th gen???

You will need the park/neutral safety switch. Also add pedals to that list.

i read somewhere that AT 5.5gen STARTER is different then a MT 5.5gen STARTER... is that true????

So why is it easier to do on a 4th gen than a 5th gen? Jef at Maximum Tuning got this in his car with no problem and has it running. What is preventing it from running on the 5th gen???

But like I said, since you have Jeff doing it with a set fee, I think he will get that ish to work. Get the parts!!!

That turbomax dude is doing it on an 5.5 gen. I would wait until his issues are resolved before jumping into buying the parts.

if this guy can put a vq35 in a delorian then i should be able to swap in a 6 speed easily... makes no sense...

yea... he did do the 6 speed swap on his 4th gen but has never done it on a 5.5gen!!!!

So how many people dont under stand incompatable sensors are probably mounted on the flywheel, and thats the issue?

Thats a good point... turbo95max did say on his thread that he dropped the 6speed trans, compared the AT Flex plate reluctor to the manual trans reluctor and the Teeth are the same, but the AT one is slightly smaller in diameter.
