No EGR!?!? HELP FAST!!

Im doing a dek swap and am prepping the dek to go in. I took all the egr stuff of my de and was bolting it up to the dek when..OK..The dek doesnt have an egr guide tube or egr. Like the triangular shaped plate that bolts up to the bottom of the i/m is solid there is not tube going thru it..So did some of the dek's not use egr? and can I not use it? Need help asap doing swap tomorrow night. Thanks - Matt

You need to get the 5th gen EGR guide tube.

Part number- 14713-2Y900

Keep the egr temp sensor and solenoid plugged in. That's it.

Keeping the EGR temp sensor plugged in will keep the CEL away with 1995 ECU's. If you had a 96 and up the CEL would come on.

So I dont need to have it right now? I can drive with out it? Do I leave that tube in from the exhaust manifold to the egr? right now since I dont have the guide tube everything is on except the tube. So could I drive like that or just take it out the tube on the exhaust manifold and use the plug that was on the 01' exhaust manifold in place of the tube?

You can take it out all together if your not going to use it. but leave all the sensors plugged in, ive been told. Im doing my DEK swap in a few weeks and NO-EGR will be used. I had the bung on my exhaust manifold cut off and welded shut, and a block off plate made for my 00 manifold.

All im going to do with the temp sensor is zip tie it back in the engine bay near the exhaust manifold....Im using a 95 ECU so I may be ok

The reason your 00VI had a block plate is cause some of the DEK motors didnt have EGR, some did.

ok so im using egr, I went to the junk yard and picked up the piece I needed. thanks guys, I started my swap last night and ran into mad problems! haha, I have wheel locks and lost the key so couldnt get the wheels off. So I couldnt get the cv axles out of the tranny to take it out. but I tried anyway and busted the boot on my driver side cv axle. So decided there wasnt any more I could do there. I had a spare cv axle at tha house but didnt know if it was good but found out it was when I got home last night. This morning went to discount tire where I used to work and got the socket they use to take off wheel locks with out the keys. Got mine off took the tranny out and the motor came out today too. Im still working I have 2 other de's that im trashing also so thats what the break here is for I had to go home and get the trailer to put all my junk on that im scrapping. I'll keep yall updated on progress. Motor and tranny are going in when I get back to the shop. yay! Oh and on one of my fuel injectors that orange plastic piece is missing, is this going to be a problem?
