New Motor is In !!! Pics !!

I posted this up here since It gets a bit more viewers than the S/C forum...plus alot of guys wanna know about the DEK swap in here.

My Following Setup Changes:

- VQ3.0-DEK with 8,500 confermed miles
- 2001 5speed Trans with 15,000 miles
- Clutch Net 6 puck Sprung Hub Clutch
- NEW Fidanza Flywheel
- All new MT-90 Trans oil
- Pathfinder Throttle Body
- NO EGR Components
- 2.87 Pulley
- New K&N Cone Filter
- SS Auto Chrome Shorty Headers
- 555 cc Deatschwerks Injectors
- 4th Gen lower Manifold
- Front and Rear ES Motor Mounts
- Nissan New side (2) Motor Mounts
- ES Lower Control Arm bushings
- NEW Outer Tie rod ends
- NEW ES Sway bar bushings
- NEW 99' Steering Rack
- NEW Nissan Power Steering Pump ($322)

A few things I need to do is:
--My fans arent turning on. Weather its related to the Emanage or not, I have no idea ??
--I also have to extend the Charge pipe so it sits even. I hate it on an angle. Im gonna bring out from the TB.
--I have to make everything neater on the top of the motor and Mound the IACV.
--Adjust the TPS when hot (I did it when it was cold but hot is when they say it should be done)

After about 8 weeks of waiting im finally done. When I took out the old motor I found that the front rad support was rusted right through. Well I had to have it towed to the body shop, and fixed. That took about 6-7 weeks since they couldnt get me right in.
I got it started Sunday morning and kept blowing through spark plugs. I went through 2 sets of plugs before I finally figured out to mess with the lag setting for the injectors. I had to change the oil as well since it stunk like fuel.

why would you wanna cover up that awesome polished valve cover? I think it looks with the cover off. just my opinion though.

The angle of the Charge Pipe really bothers me so I gotta order some more silicone and clamps. I have a bit of piping left over.

I got the idle worked out, I just dont know what my fans arent kicking on ? Im puzzled.

Congrats on the swap, looks very clean.

Have a few questions...
Did you make the TB adapter yourself and how difficult was it to replace the rad support, I noticed mine was rusted but I didnt really look into how hard it would be to replace it.

Also, do the SS Autochrome Headers have a hole for the EGR guide tube and does it bolt up to a stock y-pipe?

Stephan Max made them for me. The Rad support I had done at the Body shop. Took a bit of time, But I think with the motor in, would have been double the amount of Labor just because of the lack of room. The a/c does need to be discharged which s*cks.

Yes. It has the same pipe that feeds to the EGR valve like the stock headers have. I had that cut off and the hole welded shut. Yes. They do bolt up to the stock Y-pipe.

Any difference with the 99 rack compared to the previous years?

Looks great!

Check your EU jumpers for the fans...I set mine wrong and they wouldn't turn on correctly.

Looks nice! your going to want to get the charge pipe off of the coolant line! I dont think the emanage has anything to do with the fans. Do you think 555cc injectors is alittle much? With it being so hot out lately I havent felt the full power yet. I cant wait to see the dyno numbers...

The charge pipe is about 2 inches from the top coolant line ?!?!? Once I reposition the charge pipe to my liking, it will end up a bit closer to it, like I had it before.

I got the 555's because I have emanage, and I was on the tail end of the 370's.

I dont know what the jumper setting should be on JP13 and JP14. Im going to change them back to OPEN on each and see if the fand click on. If not, Ill have to swap in the 4th gen coolant temp sensor and see if it fixes it.

What kinda metal mounting peice did you use to mount the IACV on the Plenum ??

Matty, there's no need to change JP14 if your air temp sensor is reading normally...
