Well i recently swapped a 88 VG30E engine into my 87 maxima witch had a 87 VG30E....

Both engine's ran before i took them out to swap them...

the 88 engine was only sitting for about 2 months...... And every thing ran fine when it was in my 88 auto...

When i swapped it into my 87 5 speed i cant get it to start...

I tried changing the injector's to 87 injector's thinking the ecu couldent read the 88 injector's correctly since the connector's where diffrent...

Changed to 87 distrubtor.....

Fuel pump is fine because fuel gets up to the engine just not into it....

I pushed it to the mechanic's they took a look at it for 3 day's and before i took it in i could start it on starter fluid... But once i took it in and they took out the 88 distributor and put the 87 distrubtor in it's not getting spark any more..... And i took it out of there shop because all they could tell me for 3 day's that is wasent getting spark and the injector's where not pulsing...

A friend will sell my his romulator ready z31 5 speed ( 300zx ) turbo ecu for 50 bucks....

Do you think this will fix my issues ?

Good distributor and no spark??? I don't know that a different ECU will change that. Have you tested the coil? Were there any major wiring differences between the auto and the MT? Did you use just the engine or did you swap the harness with the old engine too? I don't advise buying an ECU for a 300zx to test with let alone a turbo. I dunno, it's going to take some good diag work. Start checking basics, and get some wiring diagrams. Good luck.
