VQ30+stock ECU+MEVI dyno?

Checked stickies, seems like there is only a dyno of a Mevi and JWT ECU, im trying to find a dyno with stock ECU. Does anybody have one?

I did one, no clue where it is anymore though. Might try searching my posts... it'd have been sometime in 2003 I believe. I remember the numbers though, like 182whp and 172wtq I believe.

Don't worry about dyno #'s. Too many varying factors involved.

MEVI is worth it without the ECU.

I keep going back and fourth between shopping for one, and ruling it out completely. Smoother power curve, but without extended limiter, only gains at high RPM that are for a short period, everywhere else the USIM delivers more power, but then again, i can't think of anything else i can do to my car to increase noticeble power without boost/3.5 swap, and i dont have money for either.

Depends on the type of driving you do. My commute to work is 50 mi/day. Lot's of highway speeds and hilly terrain. I like my MEVI because I do not spend that much time in the midrange RPM and I also got it before anyone did the 00Vi....

Also, I'm auto so I reap the benefits a tad bit more due to the long gearing if the auto ( but ah well.)

But if you don't have money, GTFO... Simple as that.

meant i dont have money for boost/3.5 swap....

mosly city driving here, so i guess MEVI wouldnt be something i can benefit from that much.

Get a 00VI.

And what were your reasons for getting the MEVI in the 1st place?

Find someone in your area with mevi and ask if they will let you drive their car. There is no excuse to have the stock manifold on your car.

The bolt-on installation mosly, i just don't want to deal with ordering brackets and dealing with what people say about installation of 00vi, MEVI seems so much simpler.

zack342-unfortunately i dont think there's anybody around my area with a MEVI or 00VI on a 4th gen. I'll keep searching old threads around until i figure out what i'm going to do with the manifold, but you're right, i need to switch from stock manifold.

Me and Zack raced on the highway before I left MA and I was on his ***. My car moves with the VI and no ECU. My GXE is auto.
