Knock Sensor

I notice there's two wires that come from the knock sensor. One's gray/white and the other is see-through and bronze. But only one wire goes to the ECU (pin 64). I'm pretty sure it's the gray one that goes to the ECU, but what about the other one? Is it a ground?

Thats one of the sheilded harnesses that I was refering to. But knock sensor is not required for starting. I haven't had one the whole time I've had my 240 running. I've been thinking of getting a new one this week though.

Yeah so the other one is most likely just a ground.

My trap speeds went from 99-100 to 104-105 just by swapping in a new KS...

My knock sensor only has one wire connected to the harness strap (which goes directly into the sensor) but two wires magically appear further down the strap. What is up with that?

Can you remove some tape and check under?

I did ... I forgot what I found. I think the two wires merged to be honest, but don't quote me on it.

Its a sheilded harness. One is a ground for the shield. At some point the ground should join in with the sheild.
