Engine Controls
ok, i have a pretty pressing and serious problem. did a 6spd swap and car will not start. it will crank fine, but will only spark once. when the engine is initially turned over, it will spark once then will no longer spark.
Parts used:
6spd tranny
6spd ECU
6spd wiring harness
shifter, clutch and all that
Problems checked and are ok:
ground above CPS
immobilizer unit
Neutral safety switch and clutch safety switch

as far as ive been told. mathell at "the shop" is working on the car and says hes checked everything thoroughly. everything meaning wiring destinations. if anyone could even come up with why it might do that, regardless of whether i say its been checked or not, it would be great.

You didn't mention the flywheel, make sure your ring gear is on there correctly. You can't get it wrong because of the bolt patter, but since you didn't mention, I'd have to bring it up. Ring gear's used to calculate rpms and timing stuff.

dude...............you have an immobilizer problem.
Your new ECU requires a proceedure to "relearn" the ecu to the car.
Check your codes and you should find one that references what I am talking about.

Even if your shop has done many reputable jobs (though you haven't said this, 99% of people will say my shop has done this that or the other) doesn't necessarily qualify them to know everything, such as an immobilizer problem.

Pm travis, TurboS13Hatch on the org. He's done a couple sentra's swapping in the full vq35de with 6-speed trannies. I did hear him mentioning some technical stuff about those swaps. Maybe he can help.
