98 engine on a 95 max

hi, i was hoping to get some information about swapping a 98 engine on a 95 maxima. The car is a 5 speed and the used motor came from a 98 max with automatic transmission. Does this matter? You should be able to put in a 95-99 engine as a replacement right? Would the ECU matter? If any one has done a similar swap can you tell me some pointers?

thanks!

the ecu wont matter. You will need to change the pilot bushing over from auto to manual

If your car is a 95 FED spec then youll need to reuse all the original sensors. Youll want to swap over the TPS sensor, it may be different b/c of the trannys. The pilot bushing does nothing for our cars so you wont need to touch it.
