will a 90 se and 92 se engine swap work?
I have a 92 maxima se that needs a new motor.(when I got the car it had no oil or atifreeze in it so I filled the fluids before trying to crank the car and before I made it around to the door to crank it I had a river of green and brown liquids flowing in the driveway. I have a good motor out of a 90 maxima se. I was wondering if they can be swaped. From just looking at the two side by side they appear to be positioned exactly opposite. The engine in the 92 is a DOHC and the one I want to put in there is a SOHC. Do I have a chance at making it work or should I go back to the drawing board.

Yea for NA duty the VG (the SOHC engine) sucks. Just get a VE (the dohc engine) from a junkyard, or from some one on here. Just look in the FS forums or car-part.com.
Besides the swap isn't even worth it. ALL the wiring all the mounts have to be swapped over, theres a million little things you have to change. Its just not worth it buy a VE and you'll be happy.
