What can I do or check on why im braking axels on my 95 5peed. Ok I broke my first axle on street tires lauching at 4000rpms. I though I just had a bad axel. Well since then I added Emanage ultimite with the two step rev limiter. I went to the track thursday night and it was like a dream come true. Their was only about 30 cars their. Well the first pass I did not air my et streets down any and just wanted to see how it would work I left at 5200 with the two step. Well the tires just lit up and I got no traction. My second pass I tryed to leave at 4200 and as soon as I left it hooked and the drivers side axel snapped. Did not even get the second pass. Ok so what is wrong with my car. The only thing I see that looks wong is the drivers side tire seems to lean in a litte but im not sure why that could be or why my car keeps breaking axels. Im using napa axels.

Maybe you need a custom axle from Raxle.

What drop do you have? How are your control arm bushings (do you get wheelhop)? You should be running ES urethane engine mounts if you dont have them already. Do you often floor it around turns?

hmmm. I cant think of anything else that could stress an axle. It is odd man, because I make 220WHP untuned, and I do plenty of clutch dumps with my Autozone axles, and they're holding up just fine. Granted, I do that on street tires which allow some slip, you mentioned using ET streets. But still.

Anybody else using Napa axles? *USER INPUT PLEASE*

Ok I got green tein springs They came with the car I guess it would be about a 1.5 drop or so. No Iv never floor it around turns. I broke my first axel on street tires, the second on et streets.

Htechs are around 1.5, that should break anything.

Stech are 2.2ish and that might put alot of stress on the axles, but I dunno about breaking that early. Alignment all good? No bent conrtol arm or anything?

well the aliment is good just had it done about a 1000 miles ago. But before and after the aliment I seen the driver tire leaning in. Ill have to check the control arm to see. One thing I did notice is that the bolt in the drivers strut where it bolt to the hub the top is a smaller bolt. Passenger side is not like this. But I though they may have put it in to get the camber right. tell me what you think. I want to fix this problem because im going to put my turbo on in less than a month witch is going to just means more torque and thats not going to help this problem any!

Do you feel any vibrations while driving? Your camber is off since they used that smaller bolt, I would install the same size bolt, maybe the bolt is moving the strut around too much and causing too much stress on the axle at a wierd angle. You need to find out why they messed with the camber in the first place. Maybe something is bent and messing everything up.

maybe they used a camber bolt on one side, and the other side most likely broke and they put the stock bolt back in. aka ghetto rig

yeah the camber bolt was in it from when i bought it. So Im not sure why they use the bolt. But its only in one side and that the side that breaks axels.
