exhaust leak

exhaust leak

i have a question i know it's kind of stupid but i just want someone to confirm this. i just finished my 3.5 swap again my 01 max and the car feels sluggish on take off but when i'm in second gear it's ok

so wat is your question? do you think that an exhaust leak is to blame for the sluggish feelin in 1st gear, but OK in 2nd?

sorry pops!!!!! i meant to finish the post but i had to leave i want to know if it's the exhaust leak why the car feels sluggish on take off. my mechanic told me that one of the exhaust manifold bold had broke so i have to get an exhaust manifold

an exhasut leak would make it feel sluggish in any gear, not just 1st gear in particular. perhaps you do have an exhaust leak- correction, u say u have a broken exhaust bolt, u definatly had a leak. But that alone wont account for "sluggish feeling" in 1st gear, but not 2nd.

Also describe this sluggish sensation. Is it missfire, sputtering, etc...

well yeah i guess you could say it is sluggish in all gears but i haven't really drove it on the express way yet since i finished it because i wanted to get the leak fixed first do you think i should take it to a muffler shop
