cANT get et streets to hook

I havent been back to the track on them but I got my motor mount filled now. I try to leave with the eu two step lauch at about 3800 but it just spins!
I try to leave at about 3500 with out two step and just spins. i got the tires at about 18psi. Im wondering what other on the board are able to leave at on Et streets and what pressure are you using? How much are you heating them up?

you do know that the dragstrips are treated with VHT and various other methods to help you hook up right? so if you are doing this on the street then that could be why.

I thought they were called ET streets because they have enough tread to drive around with.

You can definately go as low as 12-13 psi with ET streets but they are notorious for not hooking too good on FWDs. The RWD guys love them but weight transfer owns you.

if you dont hook on the streets, its still reasonable to assume you will hook at the track, theres a huge difference between the two. are you warming the tires before you try this on the street? that also makes a huge difference.

what they've said.

with my old slipping clutch, I could feather the throttle on a normal launch and spin the tires.. at the dragstrip, I was doing redline clutch dumps and not getting wheelspin.
there's a BIG difference between street and track on those tires.

I would personally save the rubber until you get to the track and have a chance to set it up there.

I'd also look in the drag racing forum instead of here.
