sorry if I missed something...but he asked if we can swap the HR into our maximas...I said "no it won't fit..unless you have alot of money to modify it"....then you said "Because of the new bellhousing this engine will be much easier to swap into a RWD car. The current Frontier VQ40DE 6-speed transmission bolts right up to a VQ35HR I believe."

why couldn't you just say "In a maxima it gets a hell of a lot more complicated."

I remember reading this but I gues I'd forgot about it. Also, truely awesome. The VQ is getting more and more swappable every day.

Because there are people that think outside the realm of FF and there is a decent population on this board. Afterall, the name of the thread is, "New VQ Tech Data"

Because I wanted to specify that its the new bellhousing that complicates things compared to the older one. Whats so annoying about that?

I know this is bringing this thread back from the dead, BUT I thought I would update with some actual HR numbers.

Deck height is increased from 215mm to 223.4 ( +8.4mm)
Con rod was 144.15, is now 151.75mm (+7.6mm)
HR pistons are also have an increased compression height of .8mm

The 07-08 altima has the same higher flowing cylinder heads as the HR motor as well...
