Issue with 3.5 swap

Well I'm going a 3.5 swap. The engine is having an overheating issue let me explain. The engine starts up fine no problem runs pretty rough. Then another issue I can't regulate the fpr its remaining at 40 psi regardless of what i do, I checked everything and its ran properly. Also with that I'm running really bad vac the gauge is showing about 10-13 inches. Is timing off or what can it be I checked for vac leaks I found none.

adjust fuel pressure with no vacuum. A post was made that with the walboro you can achieve 51psi at idle.

any vacuum leak(s)?

Did you set timing correctly?

You FPR's either broken or receives no vacuum, thus not responding to any engine operating conditions. For vacuum leaks, you'd have to run smoke into your engine to find out. Local mechanic shops usually have that diagnostic service. Some don't even charge for it.

timing jumping a tooth could explain the low vacuum reading. Best way to check for vacuum leaks is with starting fluid and engine idling, get the 'extra strength pyroil', **** is crazy flammable so have an extinguisher nearby.
