fuel pump wiring question
fuel pump wiring question
when I installed my walbro 255 fuel pump I noticed to sets of plugs one with 2 pins and another with 4 pins, by the way everything works
now when I looked in the fsm I could not find anything about the 4 pin plug and what each wire did other than the ground wire and the black/yellow wire on the 2 pin plug was 12v
I want to hard wire the pump directly to the battery with a relay and plan to get both plugs and the one directly on the pump from the junkyard so I do not have to cut the factory plugs but still want to know what each wire does

May i ask why exactly you want to hardwire the pump? If it's because the Fuel pump control module lowers voltage to the pump under certain conditions there's a way to bypass it without giving up the safety of the ECM fuel pump control.
