FP gauge and fuel tee

Right now I have a 3/8" tee so I can use my underhood FP gauge, but since the fuel line is 5/16", I want to get the correct size tee so something doesn't eventually cause the line to break.
I went to the local store to look for a 5/16" tee, but they said no tees were made for that size (unthreaded). So they thought I could replace my fuel line with a braided line that is I believe 3/8", and a bunch of new fittings.

The thing I'm curious about is how other people use a FP gauge in a Maxima? What did you do for your fuel tee? The size of the line?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
