yeah probly, so we will know its not 100%, but if its not uber high then we know its ok. obviously if it reads like 17 then probly too high, but if it reads 13-14.5 i can ASSume its not too bad

Quote: I had been thinking, why not make the housing longer, and add on a nub for the PCV valve hose? less sections to come apart and allow intake contamination behind the filter, know what I mean?

PS- Love the sexy fab work!

Mine is almost ready. 14" long with suction tube and Sensor block, pics next week I hope, 80mm ID 85 OD

ya I know, I just need to drill the holes for the sensor, been too busy to get it done. Looks sweet though and it has the hardened clear coat on ID and OD.

Worked out a deal with the boss to get this done during working hours. It needs a media blast and anodizing but it's basically ready to go. 14" from end to end 80mmID 85mm OD. Ring on the end is to accept a 3.5" air filter

Looks horrifically similar to 6spd_Hayes' unit, albeit longer (as you designed it to be).

i think theres a problem with ur 3'' MAF, it doesn't have a mesh guard or dust guard. Although the Intake filter should protect it, sometimes theres things that still get past it. I recommend to have a, somewhat net like material in the 3'' MAF.

The stock MAF housing doesn't have a 'gaurd' either. There's a screen that goes over it and it works to make the airflow more laminar, however it's not really meant to protect anything.

The LR MAF in question does have said 'honeycomb" in place. Do not get me started with said Laminar flow ....
