found this regarding ignition timing on a 3.5 swapped 4th gen with 4th gen ecu that later swapped to the 5.5 gen ecu. explains quite a bit. the power dip in the rpms we mention, is when the 4th gen ecu retards the timing quite a bit, could contribute to the large dip in power at that rpm.

The large dip in power is primarily a function of the modified VI. Even A33B's with their CVTC and more aggressive ignition timing between 3500-4500 RPM experience the same loss of power at the lower end. The ignition timing might have something to do with it, but it is not the main culprit. VE > ignition timing when it comes to the shape of power/torque curves.

Yes I set mines this weekend to .52v

is it pushed fully clockwise? im trying to figure out why im the only one with this problem.

and driving hte car tonight, i did not feel the delay of power...like i said, with mine its kinda intermittent. In fact, when im driving and holding the pedal 30 percent down steady and accelerating in gear it will actually buck a little between the slower accleration mode and the quicker one...usually when its off a cold start*

No "fully clockwise" on my pftb tps reads.1v I used a snapon scantool
to read voltage while I adj the tps.
