I got access to a consult tool yesterday, so i was looking around a bit and ran the active ignition timing test. This is with the 3.5 swap,

CKPS-RPM(pos)-913rpm
CLSD THL POS - ON
IGN Timing- 30btdc
IACV-AAC/V- 57 step

This was at idle on a cold start. Anyone know what the ignition timing is supposed to be at? Also i noticed there was no way with consult to increase timing just retard it, by that i mean in that test at the bottom, there is a down button that will retard, but no up botton?

 

It's an A32 ecu. You cannot alter ignition timing and save changes on it.

 

bummer...but i ended up looking up to find what the ignition timing is supposed to be, 15 +/- 5 @ like 700rpm idle ( i forgot exactly what the idle was but it was something lower then mine)

 

Read the entire section in the FSM re: BTDC. The car should be @ operating temperature in a certain gear if AT whenever taking readings.
