N/A 3L cracks 12's

Posting here for those who don't check the 1/4 mile forum.

Set some new PB's yesterday at the track. The "little" old 3L went 12.83 @ 106.90 mph. On another pass it trapped 108.26 mph (on a 12.90 ET).

See the video, timeslip, more detail etc here.

Yeah, it is a never ending cycle of wanting more power. I understand why boosted maxima people don't last very long. It gets harder and harder to get more out of it and then you get rid of it.

I never did get to take my 3.5 to the 1/4 for a good pass in good weather, but I did run a decent 1/8th mile time. It was a 7.98 @86.xxmph, so I will have to use that for my N/A claim to fame until you beat that. lol.

My best time with the 3.0 was a 13.7 on street tires, I never did run it on slicks, but you have way more power than I did then.

I hope to hit up the 1/4 mile soon. The new clutch is holding good, I did the energy suspension LCA bushings and poly motor mounts recently and it made a world of difference.

Hey great job Danny. So i guess them cams did the trick. So what were your shift points for that run. Is the car making more power up top past 7000 now! You seem to be a very good driver too. I can get a new mod then run worse times. I still have not got my turbo maxima at only 8psi though to beat my best N/A 1/8 time yet. My best n/a was 8.9 (street tires) and my best with boost is 9.1 But boy did my mph go up though!

That deadhead fuel rail seems to be key to making good power. Your really making that EU work overtime. good stuff.

That 7.98 probably would have put your ET down around where Jime is... I know what you mean about the bushings/mounts etc, I felt the same way when I did mine over a year ago, it was like a new car.

Shift points varied, the tune needs a lot of work, I had some unexpected breakup at high rpms, I think my ECU has finally switched modes on me (that's a whole other story for another day). It definitely has more top end no question, and there's lot's of room for improvement yet. Even with all the issues/crap tune I still trapped 4 mph higher than last year.

Yeah the EU's sure been working overtime, thanks to the stupid Nissan ECU. Unfortunately I still don't have as much control as I'd like, even with the EU, but I've already been working on a solution for that.

Once I get everything sorted out, 8000 or 8200. Most times I couldn't get past 7000 on the weekend though with all the issues...

Raceweight is around 2800, maybe a little more. Mostly full interior though.

Dunno for sure, just playing it by ear with the weather which has turned cold and wet now, possibly this coming weekend if it cooperates.

yeh, i'm finally glad winter is just around the corner. i couldn't take all that summer heat. it was taking all the fun away from my car. i just wish i was force induced so i don't have to worry about weather
