VG33E pistons in VG30E

was looking at building up my 86 300zx using the VG33E pistons rods. Will they fit in the VG30E block using stock crank or will I have to use the VG33E crank is the bolt pattern different for flywheel then?

I don't know the answer to that question but I do know of a guy who is just about to complete a group buy on some aftermarket VG pistons for a very good price. pm maxmaxima91 about it if you want.

The difference is between the two, IIRC, is that the VG33E pistons are 91.5mm. the crank is still the same. IIRC, the stroke is the same for both engines. I know the head is different from '88 and up on the VG motor though. NissanMotorsportsMag has a good write up about it on their project Pathfinder series.
