z33 injector pics
anybody got pics of the injector tips from the z33(fbjc100)? i feel like i got the wrong injectors and just want to be sure they are right. did the injector swap from my fbjc101 to the fbjc100 on monday and my WOT ratio went from 13.6:1 before to 17:1 after . not sure WTF's up, but that shouldnt happen. i put a bunch of injector cleaner in the tank even though i let the tips soak in some before i put them in, hopefully from the tank will clean them out. either theyre dirty or my old ones were on crack working big time overtime. i cant understand this

Mine were black w/ an orange 'ring' on them. Compared to my A33B units (which had the P/N clearly engraved) they only had a Bosch P/N on them, and they looked different (color scheme). I too thought maybe they weren't the correct pieces. But after some driving around with them, I noticed my MPG readout went a little higher. This tells me that when in closed loop, the ECU had to compensate a little more due to the slightly larger flow, which then made the trip computer think it was getting better MPG due to the slightly larger amount of fuel being taken out.
If you're going that lean, the car should run semi crappy. Also, make sure all the injector's seated properly.
How do yours look, and do they have a P/N on them (Bosch or other wise)?
If it's a Bosch #, PM Bewstaddict, he'll have info for you.

yeah, i did a WOT and it took FOREVER, not to mention i could tell the car wa pulling tons of timing
how do you know if theyre in properly? i clipped them into the fuel rail first and then pushed each one into the fuel rail and bolted it down...not sure if that could go wrong. guess ill try again.
they have a purple body and clearly say FBJC100 on the side...
Its weird because when i first tested it i had to take out 1 pt of fuel, which i was concerned with but no biggie. i tried a different intake, which i didnt like, and when i went back i had to add 7 pts of fuel. ill try pushing them into their further and make sure all the plugs are surely in. i can feel most of em ticking but ill check again.

thanks, i mostly only need the tip pattern since the body is certainly right. i just thought it was weird that the lower flowing injectors have a much better (looking) spray pattern than the higher flow ones.

damn, injectors galore. im going to give this a week of driving with constant injector cleaner, then let reset the ECU while im gone over the weekend. if its still doing this BS lean thing, i think ill put the old injectors back in and send these somwhere to get them cleaned and possibly worked to a higher flow rate. hoping that after the week and reset i wont have to go through any more
