Wideband 02 Reader

I was over on my Saturn forums tonight and someone had posted about this wideband 02 reader and I wanted to get your take on this thing.

it looks to be pretty nice and could be very useful

Looks like a good deal, the big thing is, how accurate is it? Even the big companies producing these seem to have issues with accuracy and response rate: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=550366

LM-1 FTW! I'll save more money NOT having to replace my engine vs. a DIY Wideband.

they didn't test the R300 they tested the old school M300. I don't believe you can condemn all products by a certain manufacturer because of that test. I dyno'd a car with a PLX SM-AFR that gave the same readings as the wideband on the dyno when we installed it in the same bung. Based on my experience with PLX products I won't hesitate to keep using mine. also based on my experience with Innovate products and their quality I'd never recommend one to a friend.

I fully agree with you Neal. I have the zeitronix and i will find out how far its off when i dyno this spring. I wasnt bashing plx since you know i was going to get one till they discontinued the one i wanted. I still think that plx is better but thats my opinion.

I looked this up and some other guys seem to be swearing by the product saying that its accurate with -+.1. but its good hear everyone's opinion about it, I'm learning more and more each day reading all the old threads some of you guys have made.

I think I'm going to pass on a supercharger for now, maybe in 2-3 years but for now with school and all I don't think I could keep up with the daily maintenance of it. But are widebands good to have even if your NA? My coming mods are Ported and polished heads and IMs, 3.5 cams and the manual swap. Is there anything else I can do to my car NA besides what I have and what I plan to do?

Wideband is always good to have weather n/a or boosted. Its a must if you mod and tune.
