vh45de in a maxima?
I was wondering if anyone has done a vh45 swap into a maxima before?
I have a 4th gen max and I've been looking into buying a q45 and I found one close to me. I checked it out and it looks like my engine bay would probably be too small....
Has maxima everyone done a vh45 sawp into a maxima?
If not, can it be done? maybe with some cutting...
I've seen a Z32 300zx with a 4.5 and an s14 240sx with a 4.5 and was wondering if this was possible for us.

ill be nice and just say no. That motor is RWD and as far as i know there are no rwd maximas and everyone says its impossible to do. Too many things need to be changed and rearranged to make it work to even be worth it. DO yourself a favor and delete this before you get flammed.
oh yeah thats right, we swapped an Ls1 in MOHFpro's car
here's a new question, is there even a FWD V8 engine out there? I can't think of any right now

Here are some wise words i received awhile ago
"Anything can be done with money"
Im sure its possible, youd need the VH45DE ecu/harness due to the extra cylinders, that or get it running on some sort of stand alone. A bell housing adapter would be needed as i doubt a RS5F50V/A would bolt onto the VH45DE bell housing. Custom motor mounts, probably some sort of custom sized radiator custom fwd style headers, i dont know if the accesories would bolt up either, PS pump, a/c, alt etc... Needless to say it would be a very large undertaking, almost everything would be custom one off stuff.
But it would be pretty badass!!
Ive always wanted to do something like this that, perhaps if i found a cheap vh45de and a maxima parts car id def try this. Just need a better mig welder!
Alternatively if you have money pouring out of your pockets, send your car to smokey nagata from top secret in japan, they've put just about any imaginable motor into any car, RB26 into supras, twin turbo V12 into MK4 supras, VH45DE twin turboed into a 350Z, 3sgte into a MK4 supra etc. Im sure they'd be willing if your rolling in the $
