OK I know what first comes to your mind will a 3.0 even bore out big enough to make this close or no. Reason asking is wondering if they had a little bigger valves and flow, or I will go ahead with porting out my current heads.

There is no VG34. But theres alot of info in the 3rd gen section, I made a thread about it and theres a thread or two about a 3.4L VG.

The valves are the same size though, no gains there. Porting is your best option.

not sure by the wording of your post if this is what you mean, but a vg30 can not be bored out to a 3.3 or 3.4L. as far as heads are concerned, the ones you want, if you are not building a turbo, are from the 89 and later vg cars. you can find an "E85" on the back- or "85E" - mine are at the porter right now so i cant verify. they have a significantly better intake port shape than the earlier heads but the port size is too small and will need porting to extract any kind of power out of them.
