3.5 swap- fuel pressure problem

So i have looked over the stickys and i ran all the fuel lines tonight but i cant get the fuel pressure to read over 35-40psi. They sticky said from after the fuel filter T off the fuel line and run one line unmodified to the rail and the FPR on the return line. I know the FPR is on the right way cause it was on backwards at first. I have done nothing with the stock fuel rail but run the line to it. The highest the fuel pressure would get is maybe 35psi. I adjusted the FPR and thats as high as it would get. Did you guys take anything off the stock rail? Is the stock fuel pump fine?

Which AFPR? Cheapo eBay unit, or from a reliable manufacturer?

Its the damn ebay one. It was so close to cranking. A tech at nissan told me it wouldnt even run on anything less than 40psi. Did it sound like I had the lines run right? Any other ways you would recommend?

My 3.5 swap runs just fine with the stock fuel pump and the A32 FPR.

All the warnings of required 51psi fuel pressure had me worried, until Nismology posted a thread that effectively killed that false assumption.

So try running it without the aftermarket FPR all together? How did you set yours up?

I run mine at 51psi. It should be made clear: using A33B ECU you'll need a static 51psi, don't connect a vacuum line to the FPR's reference port. Using A32 ECU, you'll need your FPR set up to the A32 specs (w/e that is, but it also needs the intake manifold hooked up to the FPR ref port).

Also, BTW my car had a crap-o eBay (prob fake) SARD FPR, and it could start even at 10 PSI. If you are getting 30~PSI, your car should start fine, as long as the fuel system is fully primed up, i.e. no air bubbles in it.

I'm pretty sure my car started with like 2 psi of fuel pressure when my other fpr crapped out.

No mods at all, just hooked it up to the 3.5 fuel rail and ran a vacuum hose to it. Functions exactly as though it were on a 3.0, the ECU doesn't seem to mind.

Oh, and butt-dyno only.
