3.5 swap issues
Car's a '99 a/t
3.0 timing, oil-pan, etc.
The ecu is not firing the injectors for cylinders 1, 2, and 4. Also, cylinders 3, 5, 6 are firing in simultanous mode.
No codes other than misfire, all wiring between each injector and the ecu has continuity, it is not a wiring issues. All cam/crank sensors were swapped out, as well as signal teeth checked for damage.
I know it really points to a bad ecu at this point, but considering it is a '99 and that makes things difficult, plus I really don't want to jump to that conclusion, does anyone have any other suggestions. I can't see cam timing being off causing this issue either, if the cam sensor is unplugged stil only three injectors fire.

^^Thanks, but I had to get one local.
I'll post pics up soon. I had a guy come over this morning that was the head tech at an infiniti dealer for a few years, when I talked to him on the phone he said "yeah, that's a good one" and came to the same conclusion as me. Except when he came over this morning to confirm my suspicions and give a second opinion, the first thing he did was genuis, he smelled the ecu! "yup, something's fried"
Well we took it apart and sure enough one of the injector drivers was all melted and burned, we soldered another one onto the board from a spare ecu that I had but it was a no go,two cylinders were still down. So I had somebody pick up a spare ecu from a salvage yard and drove down to a local independant shop that has a consultII put the new ecu in it, and had it re-programed.
Goldtooth, any chance that ecu you have is a fed spec w/traction control?
