00VI cup orientation (quick check)

Hey guys,

Just repaired my 00vi and am putting it back together, but I noticed that the cup in mine was jb'd a little off from how this guy has it on his cardomain.

Can someone confirm if this is the OPTIMAL orientation?

Also, I fubar'd the hell out of the spring (was stuck in the old jb weld so I ripped it out). I can see how the spring makes it so the bearing on the passenger side of the manifold carries most of the weight, but is it really that important?

I don't want to wait on a stupid spring, especially when its just a plastic rod with bearly any weight.

Thanks,

DF

^^ That was my VIAS. The cup was still connected, so that is 100% the correct position.

Nice, good looks on the pic!

Could this picture get stickied somewhere?

I'm sure it would help out some of us.
