Throttle Control from Blitz
Throttle Control from Blitz
Hey, I have contacted Blitz to get the throtlle controller for the Drive By Wire 5.5 and up maximas but they do not have a program writen for them yet. They have the Z and Alt but not the max and i was told that they cant just send it out wihtout having tested on the vehcile itself. SO I need a volunteer in the LA Area to help out and go there. IF you are interested PM me and i will give you the details. If you dont believe me that this ISH exists look at this link

I want one of these something fierce but i am in SO FLO, not SO CAL.
If anyone is interested in getting this, the car that volunteers for the test run gets the product for half of MSRP which is $420.
According the graphs on the page from Blitz, the throttle response will be put back where it should have been from the get go and then some. PLEASE PM ME IF you are interested
Thanks
Matt

I don't see how it will improve throttle response. According to the website all it will do is (unnaturally) open the TB more for a given accelerator position like BMW/Porsche does. To me, the OEM DBW was not bad at all when I drove a 6MT A33B.
From what I've read over the years, a larger MAF housing will get rid of the "throttle lag".

Thats so funny I contacted them also about this a couple weeks ago. I posted a thread in the west coast forum to get a someone in the area.

Some of you guys didnt read that whole thread on my350z. The reason why the guy on 6thgenmax had more power at 50% throttle, is because it really was NOT at 50% throttle.
THe blitz unit manipulates the signal going to the ECU. It tricks the ECU into thinking more throttle is being applied when it really isnt.
Case in point, you put your foot down half way...50%. The blitz unit modifies that signal and tricks the ecu into thinking your foot is lets say 3/4 of the way down or 75%.
It strictly makes your car feel faster then it actually is, because at the end of the day 100% throttle is 100% throttle.
I wouldnt say it restores throttle response to where it should be either. As nismology said generally a larder MAF housing will eliminate the "throttle lag"
Its a waste of money IMO. I guess to each his own.
