Is my wideband not working?

I just installed an innovate lc-1 on my car and I was trying to watch the readings on my EU and I fear it may be broken, or maybe I did something incorrectly that is causing it to not work correctly.

In either case I was hoping you guys on here could help me out. So anyone who can help I am willing to send you the em2 and log files I made.

What is occuring is that under WOT the readings are showing that the A/F ratio is spiking like crazy from 7.0 to 315.4 (WTF?). Under normal driving conditions it is spiking between 13 to 22. It makes no sense to me and has me greatly confused and irritated.

I've attached 2 screen shots of what's occuring. I hope you guys can somewhat read it. The first is during WOT, the second is during normal driving.

Thanks greatly in advance.

Did you set it up right? Free air calibration? Set it to gasoline?
If you have a laptop, connect the serial cable from the LC-1 directly to the laptop and see what kind of AFRs your getting in LogWorks. That way you can see if the problem is with the EU setup or if you're having issues with the LC-1.

Did you double check your setup in the EU software? Under option 1 or 2 it should be Innovate and between 7.35 and 22.39. Also make sure you used the right wire coming out of the LC-1. One is narrow band and one is wide band (brown wire IIRC). That's all I can think of.

To my knowledge it is set up correctly. I followed all the directions as best as possible. I set up both the innovate programmer and the EU correctly, used the brown wire, grounded everything together, etc. I'll definitely try the logworks and see if it shows up correctly there. If that doesn't give me any answers I'll reset the whole thing and try to calibrate the sensor and and LC-1 over again and hope that fixes the problem.

You connected the lc-1 to a serial port and changed the drop down list in LMProgrammer to "Gasoline" right?

Thanks guys, the reading was incorrect even on the logworks program so I reset the whole system and recalibrated it all from scratch. This time it worked like a charm. Unfortunately the sensor somewhat seized into the bung, but I was able to get it back in leak free after calibration. (I assumed it came with anti-seize like most normal O2 sensors do but I guess it must not have had any, I'll have to check better next time).

I have another question though.

Which is the best gear to be in when trying tune the A/F ratio?

In 1st and 2nd the ratio differs slightly from one another. (It was dark and I didn't have opportunity to try 3rd because I don't like driving to 110 mph in the middle of the night when I can't see well on dark secluded roads). So which one is the best to use as the base for my tune?

For example in 1st gear from 4000 rpms to 5000 I was able to adjust the ratio to fluxuate between 12.8-13.2, which is perfect, but in 2nd gear that same part of the power band fluxuates between 12.2-12.6. I'm assuming something similar will happen in 3rd.

What is your recommendation?

Go with 2nd or 3rd. 3rd being better because it will elongate your graph and make it easier to see where corrections need to be made. You can do it with 2nd though.

Definetly have a buddy help you datalog!
