2000 max and want to swap for a vq35

i posted in the 5th gen forums and was sent here....i looked and noticed many helpful hints and tips but i still have a few questions.
can i just replace the motor and a ecu from a 02 or 03 max and everything will be the same....no rewiring every thing?

my goal would be is to buy a wrecked 02 or 03 max and take the motor and tranny from it.... what do i need to do or modify to make everything work? and i also do not want a SES light

You take your motor and put the 3.0 timing equipment on the 3.5...no wiring or ecu swapping.

ajcool has a good thread going right now with pics of his 3.5 swap. check it out.

as for the SES light situation I don't know. Are you doing a manual swap or keeping it auto?

If your gonna do it, at least throw cams in...you'll enjoy it more

Well do you want to do a full swap, or hybrid?

Full swap, you'll need the engine harness, ECU, etc.

Hybrid, you'll need the VQ30 timing equipment, and no change to the harness or ECU.

Long story short, look at the 4th gen VQ35 swap threads. Then, forget about having to rewire the injector clips. There's your writeup.

'Easier' as far as electrical goes, is the hybrid.

'Easier' as far as mechanical work, full.

'Better' as far as more power, ful.

...and I can't really think of how the hybrid would be 'better' in any way.

I believe you'll still have to do some minor wiring for where the engine harness connects to the dash harness.

Break open EC and EL, take a look.

how would u get the VTC to work with a A32 ECU since it is a PITA to swap in the A33 ECU, is there another way around it?.

Not really, no. The A32 just plain can't support VTC, it was never designed to.
