NEED HELP: Would 2006 G35 rev up pistons and rods work for 3.5 build?

Hey guys, I'm planning to build another motor. I actually picked up a 2006 G35 rev up motor. I'm actually using this short block for the Z but...I want to use the rods and pistons for another 3.5 build on the max. (almost codeless 99 3.5 swap- P1105 map boro/boost sensor is the only problem I'm haivng)

I still have my 2004 maxima engine that has a scratch on the cylinder wall. I did a light hone on it but the scratch is still visible. I'm hoping the machine shop can take care of it, measure it and still within spec. I do not want to dump any more money into this build since this is a budget build with some head work. I'm going to take it to the machine shop and see if they can hone it a bit more within spec. I'm trying to avoid over boring this block..

Anyway, from what I read from turbos13hatch, HR and rev up pistons are pretty much the same, I would need to use a thicker head gasket or cut a bit on the pistons. I would like to know what size head gasket is suitible. Also I'm very curious about the compression ratio with these rev up pistons and rods.

Anyone know if these REV UP rods are stronger than the DE rods? I did not take them out of the engine yet. I did a quick parts search and the part numbers/listings are different.

Any info would be appreciated. Trying to use most of the rev up parts as possible with HR springs for this build. I'm keeping this as a budget 3.5 build to hold a bit of boost.

Thanks

Revup pistons = non-revup DE pistons. HR pistons are completely different.
Revup rods = non-revup DE rods. Only the rod bolts were upgraded.

I know the rod bolts were upgraded but planning to use HR rod bolts over arp. But what explains the different listings on the oem parts website? 03-04, 05, and 06? I'm trying to search for the part #'s.

I thought they were the same as well..

I also PMed turbos13hatch and he said I would need to cut the piston or get a thicker head gasket.

I do know that the eagle rods would work for 2003-2006; the same with aftermarket pistons.

My buddy's brother has a 2006 350z TT pushing 478whp on a stock block for about a year now as a daily driver. That is why I was curious if these connecting rods are slightly stronger and from what you are saying they are the same as non rev up.

Well hopefully I will be able to remove the rev up heads this week, take the rods and pistons out the motor, snap some pix and post it up.

The OEM rods are sold with rod bolts as well. Different rod bolts = different part number, even if the rods themselves are the same.

This is if you use HR pistons. Revup pistons = non-revup pistons = non-HR.

ahhh ok thanks for that info. I didn't know the rods come with the rod bolts as well.
