I've read everyday sticky! lol
Search didnt help with it either.

On my setup i am working on my EGR tube is too short. What is the best way to extend it?

97 Max with the upper and lower IM swapped i already have injectors wired etc fuel rail swapped in etc....

Sleeve the tube to make it longer? I can just delete it but i really don't want to atm..

HEeelp please!!

No practical way to extend it. Either remove it all together or get the tube from the 00 engine.

i got it fixed i cut the weld at the top of the sleeve and slid it up the egr tube then welded it up to the length i needed it.

i didnt want to butcher the tube too much but i believe this will work it just looks like a longer version now, hopefully it will be up and running by Monday.
About all i have to do is wire up my rpm switch to it....btw anyone have a diagram which connectors on the vi? has 2 plugs on the lower end was just trying to figure out which ones i use to hook it up.

I'll have pics up soon i hope,so far total time on the swap is about 3hrs all thats left is a few random vacuum hoses and the rpm switch.

If anyone has a diagram of which wires i would be very grateful for a snapshot

BTW heatshrink tubing with the solder already in it rocks if anyone has used them.Wired all injectors in about 10-15 minutes

It's going to be the black plug. The red with yellow strip to your RPM switch and the other wire your going to ground it. Just did my VI swap today what a difference. You gonna love it.

thanks bro as far as EGR lol i deleted it i was off about 1/8 inch on the length so i said screw it.

BTW any reason why i would have to dremel coil bosses down?

Mine fits right in and bolts right up ?

Up and running today i hope.

well coil packs bolted in now! i take that back i had to grind oh so lightly on the coils themselves.but snug fit for sure.

WooHoo!!

Got it up and running total time 5 or so hours on a 1st time swap start to finish.

Didnt even have to set the throttle position sensor

Have everything hooked up except my rpm switch, should be done with that monday if all goes well.

Had a few codes but swapped some vacuum hoses around and no codes now.
Luckily i have a Consult II on hand to scan em easily and reset them.
My Alpha readings are abit lean but hope to smooth that out monday as well.

Hopefully have some #'s up soon with pics.

Thanks for all that helped and gave me some input.
