ok i have a 99 i30 auto cali spec...is there any way for me to run like a 95-98 harness so i don't have the immobilizer and can run an extended rev limiter or something along those lines? thanks

Pmohr could really answer this;

However, I would assume that if you swapped the whole harness, along with the ECU, it would work. Since its still the DE, I dont think any of the sensors are different. If you need a harness, let me know. I can go pull one from the local junkyard.

However, I just hope that the harnesses are the same in regards to positions of the signal wires and such... Dont want your MAF going into the TPS signal.

Yep. I've done it, actually. '99 chassis, '96 harness/ECU, '02 (or something) motor.

Pretty much everything is the same (obviously some minor different emissions equipment), but some rewiring is needed at the fuse box in the engine bay. The connections to the dash harness should be plug and play, IIRC.

I'll see if I still have the notes I wrote up back then, but I doubt it.

Yes, all the typical DE-K swap harness modifications (injectors, IACV if you use the A33 IACV).

Though the first thing I'd try is repinning the ECU harness connector to mimic that of a '95-98 style, then throw an older model ECU in there just to see if it runs or has any issues.

Always try the cheapest, easiest solution first. Best thing about repinning is you could always put it back to stock if it didn't work.

heh nope, check my location.

It shouldn't be but a couple of wires to move around, I believe.

Here's one thread concerning the wiring, at least partially: http://forums.maxima.org/all-motor/5...lines-run.html
