I need your 00VI setup pictures!

I am in the process of making a comprehensive 00VI article/how-to/FAQ. I need pictures of your setups you all have done. Pictures of your install would be great if you can include those as well. If you have a lot of pictures and would rather email them, pm me and Ill give you my email.

I will need to know the following information about your setup:
  1. LIM you're running: A32 or A33
  2. EGR or no EGR: Using EGR or deleted EGR
  3. EVAP or no EVAP: Using the A32 EVAP system or deleted it
  4. What Throttle Body with what IACV you're running: A32 TB, A32 IACV with adapter, A33 TB and A33 IACv, Pathfinder or other
  5. What IACV you're running: A32 IACV/ A33 IACV or no IACV
  6. What rear valve cover are you running?: A32 or A33
  7. What Intake setup you're running: After market, A33 OE, Parts from A32, or other
  8. If you're running an SAFC/VAFC or other tuning device: VAFC/SAFC/Emanage or other
  9. If you still have the power rod in: Yes or No
  10. What you're using to open the power rod(assuming above is true): RPM switch or Tuning device like VAFC
  11. What RPM you have your power rod opening at: I.E. Somewhere around 5200rpm
  12. Any other information you may have: For example: I am using a Z32 MAF in combo with my Emanage Ultimate

So yeah, just any information you wanna give me, any pictures would be great. Thanks in advance guys.

Looking for pictures of the EGR temp sensor location and the sensor, as well as a picture of the UIM on the ground, by itself with nothing attached. If anyone has anything, let me know.

I just want a picture of the sensor itself. It could be in the car, or a picture of it hanging, or a picture of it sitting on the ground. I just want to show people what the sensor is so people dont get confused.

Actually, found this one I took a while back:

A little out of focus (was a much larger picture of all the EGR components cropped down). Could crop it down further, if you'd like.

!. A32 lower (turned 180 from original position - for hole placement)
2. EGR
3. Using EVAP
4. 5th get TB (with 4th gen TPS, Block off plate on bottom of TB, 4th gen IACV)
5. Lets categorize it as.. Custom. (Tb->4th gen accordian and box->3in MAF->K&N)
6. VAFCII
7. Running w/ Power Rod
8. MSD 8969 (window switch/tach) and LC1
9. 4800
10. the stock grounding location is under the VI now since i flipped the lower.. so i run a 8 gauge wire around to the stock wire loom. I CNCd a IACV adapter plate and used a 3/8 in brass fitting on it and the manifold (tapped on side by TB). I am using a stock 4th gen rear valve cover gasket and cut the front bosses off all three along the rear cover. Also you have to cut the front hole on the two coilpacks that go inbetween the manifold (clearance purposes). I am using the stock 4th gen PCV all i did was buy a 90 elbow from Orreillys (same diameter as bottom of PCV) coupled it with the PCV and then ran another hose to the Manifold. Need to do this for clearance purposes.. Manifold sits Right on top of PCV hole. Everything runs Perfect! No CEL! smooth idle. Great powa. Actually just reinstalled it today. Started up on first try.

USEFUL info.. everyone who is running EGR knows that the bolt closest to the firewall for the EGR guide tube (bottom flange that bolts to block) is a b*tch to work with. there is a steel tube DIRECTLY in front of it. cut a 1/16 in off and everything comes right off (cut right before threads start)

ill try to get a pic up of my vacuum line setup for ya..

ahhh isnt it pretty

I found a picture of the UIM, thank you.

And thanks a bunch for your pics and info man!

Im on page 13 of the info/faq/other stuff, that doesnt include the actual how-to-install yet. Im going to include at least 2 different how tos, 1 for the A32 LIM and 1 for the A33 LIM, plus an addition for the installation of the A32 IACV instead of the A33 IACV.

I added the user galleries from you two and myself, put me near page 15. If you want to see, shoot me a pm and I will email it to you.

Im working on compiling some final information before I start the actual install writeup process for each setup.

Only things that jump out at me that you don't have are an EGR block off plate (assuming you're not running EGR). If you are, then I don't see the A33 EGR guide tube,

Can't tell if you've got an IACV or not, but I don't see an IACV harness pigtail (which is preferable to just breaking the connector apart).

Should go ahead and remove those swirl valves.

Looks pretty complete, otherwise.

You can also get rid of all those vac's off the uim. the only one you will keep is the ones that run parrell with each other (the 80 degree ones, The one that goes from the vias to the center of the rear). Those are all the vaccum lines you need. Sensor on the top can also go.(5th gen evap iirc) I cant remeber if you can only use the 4th gen bracket for the throttle cables or not(or i just lost mine and used the 4th gen)

EDIT: Didnt realize that the two uim pics up above. But yeah all you need is the one that is circled on the right

So the ones in the back are used only on the 5th gen? What is the purpose of them. What bothers me is that under the hood of a stock 5th gen, there are so many hoses that just makes loops IIRC. Then when you put it in the 4th gen it looks like your missing half of the things that came stock with the 00vi.

If he drops below 4500, the switch deactivates. You can program the MSD switch for different activation and deactivation points.

this is what msd said:
there must be a difference of at least 300 rpm b/t the 2 activation points for correct operation.
there is a 200 rpm safety range built into the activation and deactivation points. this means that the rpm must drop 200 rpm below the activation point to turn the circuit off. conversely, the rpm must drop 200 rpm below the deactivation point in order to turn the circuit back on. this is to prevent the circuit from chattering on and off.
