DEK fuel rail on 3.5

Don't know if this was posted before but....I used a DEK fuel rail on a 3.5 to utelize the return line. Its was a cheap and easy woay out for me since I did not want to go looking for another option and using what I had.

First, I shaved the tabs off my DEK rail and marked the mounting tabs and trimmed them so the rail would drop in.

Little clerance issue with the UIM, it cleared but touched

I marked it and shaved it down a little

Then I made some brackets to apply pressure to the original tabs that do not line up with the 3.5 LIM to hold it in place.

I think I will cut where I made the red mark in the pic below and put a rubber tube there like it has on the 4th gen fuel rail to give it some more flexability.

It was cheap, and easy, saved me from having to buy another rail or looking for another option. This way I can also retain my fuel setup and FMU as it was before.

Man i thought i was the only one with a DE-K rail.

But i do like your idea and its 10 times easier then relocating the brackets and welding.

lol, I just happened to glance over at my DEK rail and realized it might just work

yes this would deff be easier than welding. The brackets were easy to make too, just drill a hole and bend it a little to get the shape desired.
